99designs is a fantastic platform enabling access to hundreds of designers without the traditional cost model. I was able to gain 90+ potential designs for my logo, and interact with the designers along the way in order to further define my initial brief and tailor a logo to my exact needs. The breadth of creative designs was very broad, and the responsivenes of designers to my change requests was very quick. The built in tools such as setting up polls with direct link to facebook so that my friends could vote on a selected range of logos was a great feature, as this enabled me to get immediate feedback and helped shape the decision making process. I would not have been able to gain access to the range of ideas for the price I paid through usual logo design channels.
