Other color requirements
The brand colours are #8E2C2C as the primary colour and #A37939 as the secondary colour. Lighter versions of the colours can be used as accents in the graphic elements as long as it does not compromise the ability to turn the logo into a mono colour version.

Other notes
The logo should feel caring, kind & compassionate, but also professional & modern, and include the word mark “Okanagan Humane Society” as well as a graphic element including a cat and dog. The idea of the tails of a dog and cat forming a heart or another way to connect them in another way could be explored as part of the logo design. Soft shapes in the design are preferred over hard edges.

The logo needs to be designed to be printed in multi-colour as well as black/white, small and large sizes and reverse, and in a way that the graphic element can be used on its own or with the word mark.
