This designer is excellent. Thoughtful, creative, and thinks of how a website will be used as well as its design. We are definitely working with him in the future.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a hardware and software company and we sell printed circuit boards and automation solutions. Our product line is called PiloT and is a combination of hardware and software for home and industrial automation. It features a Mainboard (called Pilot Mainboard) combined with various modules for different use-cases. Those products should be listed in a WooCommerce store. The store can be viewed by everyone, orders are for registered users only. We sell products through a distributor (RS-Components, Conrad). From our WooCommerce store products will only be available in larger quantities for shops (minimum order Quantity at least 50) We have two target audiences: Makers who build things like home automation systems and professionals who need automation solutions. We offer an alternative to classical PLCs (programmable logic controllers) from companies like Siemens. Our product aims at beeing cheaper and more flexible. It is a Industry 4.0 solution featuring not only more flexibility but also better prices and big data integration. We also offer key-turn solutions based on our products
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
The page should look clean and transport a high-tech but trustworty and premium feel. Most of our printed circuit boards are black, our logo is blue but there is room for modifications. The logo was developed back in 2003, it can be modernized if needed but should keep the general form.
the landing page should show the basic concept of our automation platform. We need a good visualization how components work together and form a complete system.
Based on WooCommerce we need a nice overview of all our products. Prices should only be visible to logged on useres. For others there are links for those products that are sold by distributors. There is a basic implementation of this functionality on amesconweb.cloudapp.net (I can create logins to the page, the code needs to be ported to the new site, there is a custom plugin that gathers prices from our distributors website to display).
Product details page:
The details page should give a good overview on the capabilities of the product, also some visualization how it is used (connectors and documentation where to connect what)
Wiki (list and details):
The wiki pages are needed for documentation
Blogpost (list and details):
The blog contains articles about example projects and howtos.
What to avoid
No stark colors like greens, reds. Everything should be mobile friendly, we'd prefer avoiding dropdown menus and prefer a second row that sticks to the top when scrolling (like https://support.apple.com/)
There are currently three webservers, http://www.amescon.com that can be used for references on content.
amesconweb.cloudapp.net that is an intermediate website which is more close to how the final design should look like. Some of the products are visible there, also with some details pages (eg the Mainboard: http://amesconweb.cloudapp.net/prod…-powered/)
The final page is currently on 220.127.116.11
The landing page already is a hint how it could look like, for all other pages the amesconweb.cloudapp.net site is a better reference. For more high-res images please contact me directly as I can provide a shared dropbox folder for more product photos and other stuff.
