The target audience for SAC Bott is industrial B2B and not single consumer. The product range is sold into a variety of industrial sectors, but is predominately a workshop or warehouse solution. The decision makers generally have an Operations Manager or Director title, but could include Commercial Managers, Production Managers and Warehouse Manager/ Supervisors. Bott is an aspirational and recognised “top quality” brand and has a high degree of customer loyalty. Potential customers search specifically for the product by brand name or sub-brand range. Recognised as a brand that is “built to last” with a 10 year guarantee, customers are loyal to a tried and tested product. Bott products can and are purchased by an audience who require high quality industrial storage, workshop benches, industrial cabinets, work stands and related accessories. With industry sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, motorsport garages, CNC precision engineering and laboratories being a sample of industry sectors that use Bott products extensively.
The theme or template needs to be high quality and utilise the brand of Bott with the use of the green pantones, alongside a clean clinical look and feel of a professional environment using a large amount of white. The best example of a good design is contained within the official Bott catalogue. Enabling the prospective customer to visualise what potentially their workshop or industrial space would look like when fully fitted out with Bott equipment.

What to avoid
No Florescent colours
• The simpler the design and the easier the navigation the better. The product range is extensive, so making the navigation easy and the imagery inspiring is key. The good news is that the majority of our competitors have poorly designed websites, so a simple design is key. Also consider that the majority of users of the website are not advanced website users, as the majority of their time is spent away from a desk on a factory floor or within an industrial operation. Hence why a simple navigation or a prominent search facility are critical. • Big images that enthral and engage the website user are very important, as they need to visualise and be inspired on how Bott products would enhance and benefit their workshop environment FINALLY... and this is important... We need to designs to be provided as both Web, Tablet and Mobile so we can build out a fully responsive site based on the designs you provide. ADDITIONAL ITEM I had a message from one of the designers and I think the answers are of benefit to everyone: Do you possibly have high resolution images for all your products and everything? Cos the images found in the PDF are not high res and they wont work for the responsiveness of the website. They are only good for small sized devices. Yes I have full access to every image as a high resolution image on a disc in the office that is used in the PDF catalogue Also would you like to use the bott+sac logo or just the bott logo? SAC Bott logo, although it truth it is two separate logos that are just located and joined together! Last thing, would you like the homepage to product centered or product + organization centered for e.g in product centered website it's all about the products that you are selling and there will be little to no info about the company while in product + organization centered design it will be a mixture of both. It would need to be Organisation + Product as SAC Bott are one (albeit the largest ) twelve UK Distributors of Bott products. Bott do not sell directly only via their 12 official distributor partners. So selling and promoting the virtues of why choosing SAC Bott is core to the messaging, as the product offering will be virtually identical on both price, availability and shipping times across all the distributors.
