sbell22 needed a new web page design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 45 designs submitted by 7 freelance designers.
I'm looking to update my website's home page with a sharper banner and a better homepage design. I want a modernized, cleaner design with more of a ‘web 2.0’ look and a 1024-pixel wide banner (this will still be a fixed page-width site). The new banner will contain the three words which are the name of the company: 'B e ll Consulting Group' (see "the_bell_letter" sub-page for an example). I will set up and implement the other 9 web pages -- this site runs on the Drupal CMS, so that's mostly just uploading graphics and text for Drupal, and some minor config.
Bell Consulting Group 2008
Desired Color Scheme:
Probably blue-based, but open to suggestions - a corporate look.
Desired Style:
Corporate consulting
Accepted File Formats:
Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff); layers and graph

This is a homepage look & feel graphic design update contest; the current website home page is w w w.b e l l c.com (spaces added to keep the search engines away from indexing this contest).
Â
I would like to revise "The B e l l Letter" header/font similarly, it’s shown along the homepage footer; and larger at the top of the_bel l_l etter sub-page). So the site will use the same "font style" for the name of the newsletter, AND the company in the new banners.
fyi, the current "bell l e tt er" font/graphic was created with a special FONT on a Mac; not sure which one. I just want to modernize the look a little - you may have a font that would work out-of-the-box.
No need to carry the stock photos into the new banner design, unless you decide to use that. web 2.0 sites seem to move away from using stock photography as much, right?

Below the banner area, the for new homepage design/layout -- no rocket science is required- just a clean/sharp look. In addition to identifying what we do, I'd like to feature excerpts from the newsletter ('B e l l Letter" and blog posts), probably in boxes. So it may come down to just a fairly standard 2 or 3 column design below the banner. The little details are probably what makes it really sharp.
Â
The home page look should be a little less text-oriented. Looking for a clean, sharp look that's a grabber for both corporate types & entrepreneurs. I will be re-writing and improving the text on the site (including the homepage) by saturday. The contest ends on Sunday.

There will be one more link in the navigation bar (along the bottom of the banner), in the following order:
Home-Services-Bell Letter-Blog-Outcomes-News-FAQ-Contact.
The winning entry grapics need to be delivered in layered source file format.

I have run several successful Sitepoint contests before and will provide quick feedback on EVERY submission. Thanks!
