Help sqeeler.com with a new website design

Have you ever been really happy with a product or service and wanted to share your satisfaction with the company? Or equally had a really bad experience with a product or service and wanted to give them a piece of your mind, while also letting the world know how annoyed you were. From airlines, phone and car companies, to banks, fashion brands and electronics manufacturers, we all have good and bad stories, which surprisingly, most companies would prefer to hear about and respond to. They also like hearing suggestions and new ideas from their customers. So if you think your idea would make your favourite product even better, now you can tell them about it on video, and maybe even get a little thank you for it! Sqeeler is a simple and effective way to share what you really think about companies’ products and services on video. It is also a great way of seeing what experiences others have had with companies before choosing their products or services.

We want a clean, professional looking site that is welcoming and engaging. People will come to the site with a task in mind – to leave their views there, or seek the views of others. Therefore it needs to be functional. Given that it is video based, the majority of users will have a young profile, i.e. under 30. Companies will come to see what their customers are saying about them, and to engage with those customers on the topics they have raised – positive or negative.

We currently require 3 pages to be designed: 1. Home Page 2. Video Play Page – a dedicated page which comes up when a thumbnail video is clicked on 3. Video Upload Page – a dedicated page for uploading videos to sqeeler.com          Please refer to the accompanying pdf for wireframes of each of the 3 pages. Please pay no attention to the colour schemes, shapes or fonts we have used.  The functionality outlined on each page is what we need. Feel free to suggest changes to the layout if you feel they make the site more user friendly and less cluttered. We would like the finished design to be compatible with a popular css grid system ( http://960.gs/ or http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap…ridSystem).  To be considered, your design must be suitable for use with one of these layouts. Please pass on anyquestions regarding this. We will be using sqeeler branded vimeo player. Videos displayed in your design should match the dimensions of the Vimeo player. We have not reached a decision on the sqeeler logo yet, but we have outlined a number of options/themes we are considering (see page 4 of attachment). We would welcome any ideas or recommendations you might have. We will require a new design for the emoticons used in the Video Play and Video Upload pages. The 6 emoticons specified and the like/dislike buttons should have a consistent style which reflects the overall style of the site.        

Anything that is complicated, unprofessional, amateurish, or off-putting.
