Gamemarket got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Create a fresh, new and modern Sportsbook website!
Check out Gamemarket's Web page design contest…
This site is a sports betting interface for players to see current sports match ups, betting lines, and most importantly a floating betting ticket to review and confirm the wagers.
Please feel free to grab ideas from the below sites, but feel free to compose or construct the page as you see fit. Creativity is encouraged! Here is a great slideshow of a new design from a competitor: http://www.everymatrix.com/oddsmatrix/products/sleek_and_modern_design Sites that I like and why: http://www.victorchandler.com/vcbet/en-gb/sports/market/1 Great site that is primarily marketed to UK customers. But I like the league heads and color space. Easy to see what is going on and how it is sorted. I like how the odds have a “button” look to it as a lot of UK facing sites do. http://sports.bodog.eu/ This site in my humble opinion is the best looking and easiest to navigate. Even landing on the just the bodog.com front end, it is easy to get where you want to be quick. And that must be the focus. This site is marketed (currently) to players who are USA and that usually means a simple and cleaner interface. http://www.skybet.com/betting Interesting site, really setting a new course for how bet ticket is integrated. The site and odd display etc., is very plain looking. HOWEVER, they do have a great sorting attempt and a VERY interesting bet ticket. If you click on some bets, the bet ticket appears from the bottom of the page, and minimizes to the bottom of the page. Kinda cool look. Don’t like: http://www.888sport.com/bet This site is offering the exact same product, but the color space makes it in my opinion, difficult to see the different leagues and matches. It is exactally the same as a few other sites, however, just offering the color space changes and the site looks too plain and a difficult look and feel. http://sports.coral.co.uk/sport/en#/frontpage Very plain site, no depth in the graphics. The bet ticket font is plain, small and again, no depth to the ticket at all. On the plus side, If you click on a market (game) and then open up the “more markets” next to that game, you will see a nicely organized selection of additional bets for that game.
We are seeking a functional interface that is clean and easy to navigate the weekly sports match ups offered on our platform. The page has three main functional areas: -a collapsible tree of sport leagues (NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB etc.) -a odds display area for the selected leagues that is used to show the player current odds in a variety of betting options for that game/match up. -a betting ticket that is a summary of the games they wish to place a wager on. The betting ticket has many states that need to be represented. They represent different wagers: straight, parlay, teaser, etc. etc. We want a sharp and clean design with an "apple" look and feel that is different than any competitors are showcasing. The layout should be clean, easy to navigate. We do need the full page designed, header, footer as well as the sections above. ATTACHMENTS I have attached some early renditions of the betting ticket and the different states of that item we will need, as well as the samples of the entire page we need.
Again, we are wanting to standout from the competition and represent the information in a new and exciting way. The audience is young, tech savvy, and educated in all things sports. They want the cleanest and quickest way to place bets in the bet slip / ticket. Deliverable files would be preferable in PSD, and html if possible. We will have needs for additional work on a host of websites all related to this core design. So please keep that in mind for ongoing relationship and needed work. This is just the start!
