Check out Eph109's T-shirt contest…
Delayed coking is a oil refinery process where the heaviest/largest (aka bottom of the barrel) oil molecules are cracked into diesel and gasoline with a byproduct "coke" (looks like coal or black rocks). Reference : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_coker www.coking.com
What's your vision?
Target Audience Operators, engineers, and maintenance labors who work in this type of refinery process. Requirements The tshirts will be given away to colleagues in this industry in gratitude for working together safely on projects or teams. It is a very niche area so the shirts will be a way to say thanks to people in a special way. It will be a very limited production run of the shirts. We prefer a single color for ease of screen printing but would consider 2-3 colors for a powerful design. The operators of these units are typically large, tough, macho guys. We want to convey a certain edge to the design by using common cultural themes which can be risque. However, the general spin should be positive that this a is good, safe place to work. A special emphasis on safety if possible. Common phrases/concepts that jump to mind include: + coker rat - common coker designs include a rat wearing a hard hat + Proud to be safe + "Blowing out a plug" (of coke from a coke drum) + "Puked a Drum" or Foamover (of coke from a coke drum) + "Polish (or Sweep) a drum" + "Swing the Willy" (turn the wilson snyder valve, actual picture included) + "Frac-OFF" - reference to the fractionator (distillation) tower + "button it up" or "put the top on" or "deheading" or "pop the top" - as it refers to the very large flanges on the top and bottom of the drums + safety first + Bottom of the barrel (barrel of crude oil) + Black gold + "hot bolting" + "Back in the Frac" (add a specific date then on the shirt) + oil sands (aka bitumen) + types of coke are called sponge, shot (looks like buck shot but can be very large like bowling balls, sometimes called dinosaur eggs), and anode (like anode/cathode for batteries), and needle + jobs include coke cutter, switch deck, blowdown, fractionation, pit crane, cleanout A previous tshirt design used the west coast choppers cross but inserted the phrase "coker pride" on one axis and "safety" on the other. The ideas above are just meant to spur creativity. Because this area of refining is so specialized, please contact me should you require clarification on the terminology. The design should be clean, not too visually complex, and play off "tough guy" themes with safety and reliability playing a prominent role in the theme.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at €179.
