For Nomanom.com I was really struggling with coming up with a unique design. All the other designers (me included) were creating these, rather boring designs: an "N" in a circle, or an "N" in a box. And I think we were all sick of it. There just didn't seem to be anything else to do.

But then I hit on this design. I was re-reading the design brief and the word Market caught my eye. So I decided on making a logo that would use a little shop icon. However, there was nowhere for the "N." I was thinking of putting a door on the building because it looked way too flat – then I realized the "N" would work perfectly for an arched doorway.

It was an instant 5 star!
