We arrange photo shoots with youth soccer teams/clubs. We take numerous photogrpahs which are then printed and offered on a no obligation pay or return basis.
What's your vision?
SOME BACKGROUND:We hand out the photographs in envelopes to the players coaches. These are then passed on to the players parents. Parents MUST RETURN THE ENVELOPE COMPLETE WITH FULL PAYMENT AND ANY REORDERS OR RETURN THEIR UNWANTED PHOTOGRAPHS BY THE DEADLINE DATE to their coach. IT IS THIS ORDER FORM AND ENVELOPE THAT WE WANT REDESIGNING. The reason for the redesign is that some coaches have expressed that parents on occasion are difficult to chase down and drag their feet on returning their envelope. Therefore we have decided that the newly designed envelope should contain a DEADLINE DATE and also a warning that clubs will face a "fine" in the way of lost commission if the deadline is not met. The aim of the new design is to look authoritative and official enough to make parents feel obliged to pay or return by the deadline while also trying to maintain the simplicity of the order form. Our previous design (Previous A attached) did not even show a deadline date and we hope that by adding an area for this deadline we will make life easier for the club representative. We also want the new design to highlight to parents that if they do not meet the deadline their club will lose money as we will deduct the full price of their pack from their clubs commission cheque at the end of the exchange. THE DESIGN: C4 envelope One side design 2 spot colours (green and black or green and red) We have tried to design these ourselves (NEW B -attached): our thinking was green because it is our brand colour and we wanted our envelopes TO STAND OUT from other stationary when lying around in a busy household. However, upon completion we did not like our won design because: it looks amateurish, it lacks respect and the logo and brand of MTP is not prominent enough. Also, we were informed that green cannot cover so much of the envelope by the printer. SO WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? To stand out from boring regular order forms. We are selling youth photographs it should be fun, a PLEASURE and EASY to fill in ... this is not a government form. However, at the same time this order form has to be taken seriously enough by parents to ACT UPON IT. To view MyTeamPhoto as a large professional organisation on a par with school photographers. Therefore they should oblige to their duty of either paying for their photographs or returning them. HOW TO GO ABOUT THIS? Perhaps the order form design should cover about two thirds of the envelope and carry some weight of significance and then the remaining one third of the envelope is our logo and /or a stamp showing a deadline date (in red: stamp example – attached) that will stand out from other order forms. ...be creative in mixing these two elements :) CONCLUSION: An order form that conveys a sense of significance and brings respect. Our previous designs looked amateurish and as a result lacked authority. THE WAY TO ACHIVE THIS IS NOT TO DESIGN AN ORDER FORM THAT IS DRAB AND STUFFY BUT CLEAR, POLISHED AND PROFESSIONAL.
