karin.maake got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Park Here & Pay Via Text: Create a logo for mobile parking company
Check out karin.maake's Logo design contest…
FlashePay offers customers the option of parking, then paying with mobile technology. To be specific, the guests texts the word “parking” to a specific number, which sends back a text with directions on how to set-up an account that will keep your credit card information on file for future parking payments. FlashePay enables customers to pay for parking via from their mobile phone. They can send a text or download an app to complete the payment process. Your credit card will be stored on file to enable faster payment next time around.
Logo types to explore
NOTE: Besides online and marketing collateral, the Flash e-Pay logo will most commonly be seen on signage that will prompt customers on how to use the service in parking lots. It is important to keep in mind that signs will be in parking lots with intense light during the day, poor light during the night and some signage will be reflective sign material. The other common place the logo will be seen are on stickers attached to parking meters or other objects. Following are examples of common signage that will need to be created for Flash e-Pay: Sign prompt for parkmobile: http://www.towngreendistrict.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/parkmobile-sticker.jpg Meter sticker for parkmobile: http://18.104.22.168/Modules/ShowImage.aspx?imageid=2732 Meter sticker for Passport parking: http://www.krtv.com/images/PassPortParking.jpg Marketing collateral for passport parking: http://www.mortongroveil.org/UserFiles/Image/PassPortParking.jpg BELOW are screen grabs from each of the websites. The FlashValet logo and site were made first and they are okay, but the FlashPARCS logo (which is very simple) and site are more in design alignment with what we want. We are drawn to sites like squareup.com or august.com or uber.com. NOTE: We are not taken with the use of lightening bolt. The emphasis should not be on Flash, but rather the technology aspect of the product which is being able to pay for parking tickets with your mobile phone connect to an ewallet.

And then… they selected a winner!
Pratama was an absolute pleasure to work with. Out of all the designs we shortlisted, he had the most variations, and it was hard to choose from so many great designs!
Once he was chosen, he was most helpful in producing the final design that we wanted, quick to assist in all aspects.
I would highly recommend Pratama as a designer for anyone looking for top class graphic design work of any kind.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
