Logo types to explore
We want to retain the design of the existing logo provided, with the logo image within a circle, appearing between the words Nature and Footage, the same height of the letters. We want the same exact colors. We would like to see other design concepts for the logo to represent Ocean (blue) and Land (green). We want to keep the logo fairly abstract, but want people to see different elements of land and ocean incorporated in the logo. The part that troubles me is the mushroom head shape of the blue (dot at the top of the mushroom head). I like the bird (although very few people see it as a bird… could be slightly more recognizable). I like the leaf on the left (although very few people see it as a leaf… could be slightly more recognizable). I like the top wave (the only clearly recognizable feature, so some people see it as a surfing logo). So, I’m not crazy about the mushroom head, the dot, or the lower spiral that forms the leaf. I would like to see the dot and lower spiral removed and use something different to both form the edge of the leaf and to break up the mushroom head. I like the idea of an octopus arm. Perhaps two arms that form the shape of a fish or other sea creature? I just want some visuals that are just a little more recognizable so that people get excited… oh, I see a fish, an octopus, a leaf, a bird. I like that it’s abstract and not 100% literal, but all I clearly see now is a wave and mushroom head. I do like the overall design as an art piece, but it’s not not conveying much about ocean and nature at the moment besides the wave. The logo will likely be a variation of our existing logo provided. We want to see some improvements to the current design and/or new concepts. We also want to see other font options. Here is the current mockup: http://dev.naturefootage.com
