CME is a new digital format intended to enable artists and content creators to offer compelling, engaging and interactive media products to consumers. CME products enable both local and web content to be bundled together through a unified interface, much like a web site or an app. The first usage of CME is expected to be for enhanced interactive music albums. Such a product could include audio (MP3), video (MP4), lyrics, news and event feeds, photos, social media elements, and more.
