s 4B got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for a monthly computer security meetup
Check out s 4B's Logo design contest…
A monthly infosec meetup group to network and learn from your fellow members while enjoying some beer/drinks/food.No vendors, no sales, no dues, no BS. We're based out of Des Moines , IA and are a group of computer security people that get together and share information once a month. There are lots of this groups spinning up - check out https://www.reddit.com/r/netsec/wiki/meetups/citysec for some other ones.
Logo types to explore
pretty open to ideas, it's a local meetup, so something specific to Des Moines would be cool, and we're hackers and computer geeks so something along those lines. Looking to be able to use the logo on shirts, website, twitter, handouts, stickers, etc. not looking for ninja or pirate, no "anonymous" (the hacktivist group) type stuff. Humor, whit, and irony all appreciated. We're generally a pretty sarcastic group. EDIT - Let's avoid locks/keys as "locksport" (the "sport" of lockpicking and locksmith methods) is a activity that many people in our group participate in I'd like to avoid confusion. A shield is going to be pretty common, I'm not going to rule it out, but it's not very "original" and designs without them will probably do better. EDIT - Don't be afraid to use the state of Iowa as a background or something to frame it in.
