Film & Television Production Company
Logo types to explore
I am starting a Film & Television Production Company. Looking for a logo design that is similar in tone to current logos used by major production companies (ex: Dreamworks, Lionsgate, Paramount). Aspect Ratio of Logo: 16x9 (Widescreen) – Color Palette: Blue/Purple/Gray hues. Examples enclosed titled “Moon Examples”. The main theme of the Logo: If you are familiar with the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”, there is a famous line that goes “What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down”. Our logo should reflect that action. The goal is to capture a screenshot of this moving image – that’s the logo. I’ve enclosed an extremely rough draft of a sketch of our logo (JPG image with man in sombrero hat holding lasso). I am looking for an improvement on this image. I would like to either use the same man’s face and head, or replicate something similar. I have enclosed that face image separately. NO HAT. The man should be in a suit, without a pocket square. He should be wearing cowboy boots underneath his dress pants, which should be visible to the point that we recognize those are cowboy boots. The man should have both hands on the lasso, conveying that it is a struggle to pull the rope. In that regard, the man should appear to be trying hard to pull the moon down. The moon should NOT have a face. The moon should have great detail, similar to what we see through a telescope. Important to use the moon to light the man’s face and body (maybe not fully but partially light it). The moon should be bigger than the man - around a 2:1 ratio. Background: The setting should be on a rustic ranch. Perhaps an old wooden fence in the background. Starry night with some clouds. Font for the text of REATA ENTERTAINMENT: REATA should be in a “lasso” font (similar to the enclosed example logo of “George Lassos the Moon”. ENTERTAINMENT should be in a professional font. REATA ENTERTAINMENT should be in a block, with REATA the same width as ENTERTAINMENT. Example enclosed (Summit Entertainment). That sums it up. Very excited to see the work! Good luck!
