Jamey1 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Groovebuds needs a fun and friendly music/headphone/audio logo

Entertainment & The Arts
Picture a unique music store selling guitars, headphones, speakers, records and more. Currently we review and sell headphones and personal audio gear but planning on manufacturing our own line of products soon (cables, earphones, headphones, etc.) I'd like the logo to be fun and friendly. It needs to be easy to use in small areas like the end of an earbud, on headphones, guitar cables, straps and picks, on headphone packaging, bags, cables, etc. I prefer an icon design but also hoping for some nice text treatment on the wordmark to match. I'm currently using a fat script font on our website which I think is fun but not very stylish or personal, example attached. I do like softer, rounded designs rather than sharp for this. Logos using only the letters like GB or gb are usually not my favorite unless there is some unique element that creates something bigger than just two letters. I prefer a simple icon based design. I think a vintage or retro look could be cool. It should be obviously music/sound/audio related. Our mission is to help you “get your groove back” though not sure I would want it incorporated into the logo, maybe could be inspiration. I am hoping for more of an icon design, it could be abstract like Dimarzio: https://www.dimarzio.com/ or more direct like soundguys: https://www.soundguys.com/ Possible icon ideas could be headphones, earphones, sound waves/bars, vinyl records, guitars, etc.
I’m not sure I would want all lowercase one word, it just happened to work with my font at the time. Feel free to try variations on Groove Buds, groovebuds, etc.

And then… they selected a winner!
A significant design that met all of my needs (which were many!). FFM's creative capacity and ability to integrate my ideas into a logo with broad appeal, yet targeted focus - will be a thrill to utilize for years to come. His diligence and creative juice, was greatly appreciated/valued.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
