GooseChase
GooseChase is a social game for smartphones where users submit photos of themselves completing challenges to receive points. Many people play the game at once and whoever has the most points at the end of a certain amount of time wins that game.
We DON'T want a square logo. We are looking for something simple, clean and rectangular that places an emphasis on the text "GooseChase". Once the "GooseChase" is nailed, then it could be augmented with a goose and color.
Current logo attached. A few things we DON'T like about it:
-The round shape makes it very hard to put in a banner/header at the top of our smartphone apps and website (need something rectangular instead of round/square)
-We want the logo to just say "GooseChase", not GooseChase Adventures
-It's overly complex. We love the simplicity of Twitter's & Foursquare's logo. We also like the idea of implementing a goose somehow, but its not done right with the logo we have now. Perhaps a silhouette would be better?
-We don't really like the current blue on our website. Looking for a general rebranding. Can still be similar colors, but the current feel isn't working.
-Can also be other colors, we just want something that has a fun and exciting but clean feel to it. Blue doesn't really convey that.
More details about our company:
-We have a website (http://goosechase.com) and smartphone apps on BlackBerry, iPhone & Android. One thing that is attractive about implementing a goose would be we can use that as the icon for our apps.
-We will be using it on business cards and t-shirts, so it has to be very flexible (aka it works well on white/light colours (primary use case), but should also be flexible enough to work on darker backgrounds like black and dark grey).
-Our demographics are very broad, but 30-45 year olds are some of our most avid players. With that said, we need it to be flexible enough to appeal to 18-50.
-Gender demographics are pretty neutral, but probably more male heavy.
-This is meant to be a very fun game, but we will also be interacting with established, professional brands because they sponsor some of our games. As a result, the logo has to feel fun, but still have a professional edge to it.
-One thing about our game is it's very active. People are moving around quickly, doing crazy things and it's very exciting. It would be ideal to convey that excitement while also keeping it somewhat professional. A simple, clean, effective logo is the top priority, but a dash of excitement would be awesome.
