Entertainment & The Arts
We are a unique, non-traditional theatrical group that creates multicultural performed and written content blending disciplines (dance, music, theater, verbal and non-verbal storytelling, multimedia art, etc.), focused on mythologies informing modern life. The term "tandava" is from Sanskrit, it is the Hindu god Shiva's dance of destruction and rebirth.
I'd like the design to be elegant and abstract, maybe brushstrokes invoking dance and theater. Dance images to focus on are bellydance and the familiar "tandava" dance pose. The logo must include the following FOUR elements: ***ONE*** Bold brushstrokes for the image and font -- East Asian or Arabic -looking script is preferred. Please do not use Hindi-style fonts. I WOULD LIKE THE LOGO TO HAVE A SLIGHTLY "WILD" FEEL. Samples of preferred fonts styles are: Alfred Drake http://www.fontspace.com/de-nada-industries/alfred-drake Taibaijan http://www.1001freefonts.com/taibaijan.font Arabolical http://www.fontspace.com/afontgarde/arabolical Arabic Magic https://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Arabic_Magic.font DS Arabic https://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/DS_Arabic.font Khayyam http://luc.devroye.org/fonts-47330.html You do not need to use these fonts exactly, but I'd like something similar. ***TWO*** An abstract dancing figure and/or an outstretched hand with a flame combining bellydance with the "Tandava" dance image (the hand can belong to the dancer, or just be the hand itself); please model the abstract design on one of the below images: http://tandavaarts.com/images/stories/tandava/img_9074_sm.jpg or http://tandavaarts.com/images/stories/tandava/813520102_ZjbQv-X2.jpg ABSTRACT is very important! I don't want the design to be immediately recognizable as any of these images, but rather it should invoke them in an abstract way (like the way GE in General Electric's logo looks like a filament, or the way figures are inside the Crossfit logo (attached)). Be sure that any "bellydance" images are NOT cheesy or girly (see our related http://bloodontheveil.com site for a sample of an elegant bellydance image). ***THREE*** A flame containing an abstract image of happy/sad theatrical theatrical masks. This can be the flame(s) in the hand(s) or elsewhere in the logo. You can have one mask in each hand, or both masks in one hand, but it must resemble a flame. ***FOUR*** If possible, please incorporate the dancing figure in the "T" or the "V" of "Tandava". I've included some images with fonts and scripts as well as logos that incorporate dancer images into the text. I would like the Tandava Arts to have a similar feel. Other images to include in the logo can be the theatrical "happy/sad" masks (see attached images). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandava current website (we want to be a RADICAL DEPARTURE from this) http://tandavaarts.com Wikipedia on the Tandava dance: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandava If you would like to look at other images of my work, please go to (http://tandavaarts.com/galleries and https://www.bloodontheveil.com/about-the-show/photos-video/) or on my facebook pages (https://www.facebook.com/carol.tandava/photos?lst=671198592%3A671198592%3A1485839303&source_ref=pb_friends_tl and https://www.facebook.com/pg/bloodontheveil/photos/?ref=page_internal Many thanks!
