Below you find our companies' pitch:
The huge amount of packaging waste in the world is a serious concern. Some of it is recycled but most of it is simply dumped, causing problems for people and the environment. We offer sustainable packaging products that are 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.
Molded pulp sustainable packaging is made from a variety of fibrous materials, such as recycled paper, cardboard or other natural fibers (sugarcane, bamboo, wheat straw). The raw materials help determine the color, surface texture and strength of the packaging.
formed to shape
Molded pulp packaging is formed to shape. So, unlike cardboard boxes, it does not start as a flat sheet. Instead, it is designed with round corners and complex three-dimensional shapes. Egg cartons are a great example.
In recent years, the manufacturing technology has improved so the final products have a smoother surface and a more sophisticated look & feel. With the improved appearance, pulp packaging is now being used for a wide range of applications, in addition to traditional protective packaging (end caps, egg cartons).
reuse and recycle
The growing importance of sustainability has also helped make pulp packaging an attractive option. Not only can it be made from recycled materials, it can also be easily recycled again after its useful life-cycle. If it doesn’t make it to the landfill or recycling facility, the fibers in sustainable pulp packaging are biodegradable, unlike plastic and Styrofoam (EPS) packaging.
Our products combine design with the best environmental standards. Kind on the eyes, kind to the world. Make a positive change today and choose sustainable packaging. Do not take this planet for granted, do not waste this world away.
We believe that the world we live in is one we have to take care of. Not only for our generation, also for the next ones. The consequences of our way of living become more and more visible on the environment. Distressing examples are the plastic soup in the ocean and the decreasing amount of rainforest worldwide. Examples which are inherent to our way of consuming. It’s our responsibility to take care.
An important part of consumer goods is packaging. Meant to protect and to add brand value and brand experience. But also a part which is almost immediately unnecessary and will be thrown away. We want to show that packaging doesn’t have to be a waste and when it does land in the trash it does no harm to the environment.
Sustainability and design. For every brand, for every product.
Our customers are marketeers or procurement working at large (international) companies. Our product will be bought because of the fact it is sustainable. All our custom made boxes will be marked with the image part of the logo. Like the selected examples we would love a logo with a image and a the name of our company. So we can use is together, but also separate. We have a few requirements for the design:
- the image part of the logo has to be bold so we can emboss it on pulp packaging. So no thin lines or puny details. Like the Apple logo.
- the logo has to have a green look and feel, but also clean and stylish. We combine sustainablity with design.
- A link to recycling, life cycle is an option
- A link to factories is also an option in the design (the shape of a factory, see the attached samples)
- Maybe a factory in an organic form?
- the logo has to be easy in use. It will be used in all corporate communications and at the products (not to high, narrow...)
- Keep it simple: one or two colors, one font.
- we also like logos with just letters. An option is to use the initials of the brand, GPF, as a logo (like the logo selected)
