Creative, proactive with valuable proposals and very short response time. Excellent work!
Love my design, kept within the brand theme.
Ridho was the first designer that understood my vision for the company and created a design that conveyed what I was looking to convey as a company. He was helpful and responsive throughout the contest and created many designs that had slight variations until we honed in on what we thought was the perfect design for our company.
How joshgrob started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We envision a Grob on every machine. A Grob is small, easy to install sensor device that monitors your machines and notifies key events essential to the quality and performance of your factory. First, it feels vibrations, listens to it’s environment, and senses temperature, and then analyzes the data stream. Over time you engage in a dialog with the device and platform to determine what matters most.
Grob.io is the company that produces the Grob sensors and is also the platform that manages and collects the data from the devices. To get a basic overview, here is a short video (albeit rather crude) showing how the Grobs interact with the platform - https://www.screencast.com/t/AhB5YzzKkO.
The typical customer/audience are factory owners and managers who are mostly middle aged males. By nature their business is a lot of repetitive tasks so something new and fresh need to catch their attention.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
#ffae00, #65f418. Something in the hot (sunburst) orange or lime green tones. Not a hard requirement, and feel free to experiment with other brighter colors.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Has an industrial feel to it.
I like the classic characters
I like how the green pops out from the grey/black tones
I like how the neon color stands out from the grey tone. Much prefer hot orange, lime green for grob.io
I like the font, and theme has a strong tone. Not a big fan of the blurry background.
Nice clean font. Text and images really stand out from the dark background. Overall theme is a bit to dark and secretive. I like the modernize feel better.
The target market for the Grob.io platform and Grob devices is the machine manufacturing industry. Think mills, lathes, presses (see attached for types of machines). However, it is not necessary to incorporate a machine in the logo. Also, please do not use the typical brick factory facade with a smoke stack in any designs, it's not the focus.
My initial thoughts for the logo is a black, grey tones color scheme to reference the industrial nature, but then have electric orange (sun burst) or lime green elements to show that the Grob device is something new that will give life and monitor an otherwise isolated machine. I hope that help, and feel free to go from there. Thank you!
