Smokey Rose is the name of the small musical ensemble of singers and instrumentalists that we are creating now. It is our goal to begin performing in public by July or August.

We will be performing a wide variety of popular music from the American songbook (Broadway musicals from the 1930s until today), hit rock songs from the fifties to today with a bias towards the work of groups like the Beatles, Billy Joel, the Carpenters, Neil Diamond, James Taylor, among many others; and some country songs associated with the likes of Reba McEntire and Garth Brooks. We are classically trained musicians and may shift around with this repertoire as time goes by.

We imagine a logo of a stylistic red rose--and whatever mists of time or wisps of smoke and imagination that may waft up to the designer while meditating on the adjective, "smokey."
