Logo types to explore
Although I shoot a wide variety of subjects, the common themes throughout all my images are: tons of color saturation, texture, and contrast. These elements are important to have in my logo, too. My images include industrial, gritty, weathered, paint-peeling objects and structures, textures, and abstract designs, as well as images in nature... water reflections, mountains, streams, waterfalls, dunes, etc. I need a logo that works with the variety of images I shoot, not one that paints me into a corner of only one type of image. I like symmetry and design elements... patterns, shapes, repetition of lines, use of light and shadows, bold, graphic, original, stylish, creative, colorful images and logos. I love fonts with unique character and style, but NOT silly fonts like Curlz MT or standard (boring) ones like Times New Roman or Courier. I also like Celtic knot work designs and have uploaded a few examples for reference. I like the light and shading on the first two samples (CelticSymbol7 & Celtic), but the color combinations are just OK. The colors in the third image (knot.jpg) are too Miami Vice-like... maybe using blue hues with the black would be better. Here are a couple other ideas... ColorTexturePhoto could be spelled out as a knot work design in a cursive font. Or maybe an emblem with a knot work design and the words Color Texture Photo or letters CTP arranged in a cool way would work. Logos with cameras, lenses, tripods, aperture diaphragms, film strips, etc. are cliche photography images that have all been overdone, so unless used in a totally different way, I prefer something more original and unique. It would also be good to see logos with and without my slogan: "Affordable Archival-Quality Fine Art Photographs."
