Background for Designers
Confluence develops software that automates financial reporting for financial institutions and investment firms. The software collects data from many different sources and compiles it together in one place to produce financial and regulatory reports that banks and financial institutions are required to submit to the government on a regular basis. This email is to promote our product, Unity NXT for Regulatory Reporting.
We are looking for a bold email design that will really stand out in our industry. We have done email campaigns in the past that have had a corporate feel. We want this campaign to be different. The graphics in this campaign need to make an impact. The bolder the better.
The theme of this campaign is vintage, 1990s to be specific. We chose this decade because Confluence was founded in 1991 and it represents our humble beginnings.
We want to use a Polaroid picture frame to symbolically capture the decade in a photo. In the photo we will feature an item that provokes a feeling of nostalgia from the decade Confluence began.
We chose 3 items (fanny pack, boom box and flip sunglasses) that represent the decade and we want these Polaroid pictures to be bold – they will be the main visual and most of the design. We will use one design/item each month in our marketing for a three-month period.
We don’t want to limit you to creative ideas. However, we like the idea of colorful drawings or illustrations and geometric shapes. This style was popular in the 90s.
Note: When we select the winner of this design. We intend to work one-on-one with that designer for more work on a second campaign that will have the same vintage theme. It will also have 3 items from the 1990s and will need to have the same creative feel as this campaign.
