The title of the book is Heart of the Ocean: The Equilibrium Cycle Book 2. The current description/ back blurb is as follows: "Torin has been cast down, and something resembling calm has settled over Terus. Only the Consuls know of the appearance of Nuriel, the Aspect of Fire, and his mad plan to cleanse the world, but that knowledge will not stay hidden much longer. Laila struggles with her path, unsure of what to do and fearful of a home that she is certain hates her for what she has become. Following a devastating attack, a new enemy appears, and Laila is forced into action. Signs point her to the West and the Sacred Waters, a place that may grant her the power to stop Nuriel, but a journey there may cost her everything." Further descriptions: Main character- Laila, the Magusari, a master of all the elements. She has learned to harness Earth and carries a stone staff with her at all times and wears robes, somewhat in a mediterranean style, as her home city, Terus is based on Ancient Greece and Rome. She is a teenager, approximately 16 years old, with dark hair. Cover Idea: My original thoughts revolve around a particular scene from the book. In it, Laila is being submerged in a lake by an ethereal creature. My thought is: her suspended in the water, surrounded by ghost like creatures with some force, invisible or ethereal holding her as she struggles against it. -A consistent arc within the story is a struggle against Nuriel, who is a being of pure fire, while the main arc of this book is Laila’s journey to master water. So, an element of fire to the theme of the cover would be awesome, if it can be managed. Main components: -Laila in water -Stone staff -Water in general Additional (but not required) components/ideas: -A portion of the story takes place on a large sailboat -Some sort of fire element Additional notes: While the ideas above are relatively specific, I am open to anything that creatively fits the descriptions and story. The previous books cover and other images that I have admired are included.
The novel is planned to be an ebook initially, with a subsequent print publishing, so having an ebook image for kindle (1563x2500) is a must, while adding a spine and rear cover would be great. Let me know if you need any further information.

Andrew is extremely talented. He has designed the covers for all four books in my Thomerion series of interactive novels and blown he away with his eye for detail, color sensibilities and dramatic style. Further, he is professional and a good communicator. Would hire again and again!
