Entertainment & The Arts
This is a redo of the first book cover. Blue Screen of Death. The series is about a teenager who discovers he has a magical gift but controlling it is beyond him. To control his magic he creates an App called #Magic where he has stored the runes and created an AI to assist in assembling spells. Each book in the series is subtitled based on the theme of the story. All the themes are computer related. The series is young adult (tween) and up and is geared toward the Urban Fantasy genre and fans of Magic and Sorcery as well as computer techies like myself.
What's your vision?
Book 1 of Hashtag Magic "Blue Screen of Death" needs a new cover to replace the one that I did and do not like. With the series relaunch I need something more fantastic. The theme is Magic and technology meet in a new kid who learns he has magic but has to create an APP called "Hashtag Magic" to manage the runes and using his shortcut hashtags to create spells. I want something that combines tech (binary) and the dreaded Blue Screen of Death in a Magic Fantasy theme. The fonts should be magical and be similar to the attached sample of the first covers that DID NOT work for me. I would like full cover if able and you can see examples of description of story and sample chapters on http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Screen-Death-Hashtag-Magic-ebook/dp/B00LD76FY4/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 Also other theme pics are available on www.fb.com/hashtagmagic
Please limit stock photos and artwork to royalty free or minimal cost. I would like to maintain the magic theme of the font on the images I've attached and would like something that invokes a sense of technology magic. The covers I've attached were ones I first created and do not like, so I'm not looking for anything similar to them. The pivotal parts of the book center around red energy-based humanoid creatures using the BSOD and some method of virus to take possession of people through the computer screen. Some of these people spontaneously combust, while others go into seizures before being infected. Another part is in the climax (currently being revised before a re-release of the book) that takes place in a foggy (eerie) cemetery where the main Character (Colby) and his best friend (Gary) are attacked by a magic eating creature (again partially humanoid but not entirely human looking and they are energy based "red") Perhaps something subtle around an energy seeping out of a computer. In my imagination I'm seeing the runes symbols (not the actual tiles) floating and around a crashing computer with red(ish) magic seeping out in a menacing way.
