Rwender1 got their new banner ad by running a design contest:
"Does this BOM make my PCB look fat?" skyscraper ad for Triad Semiconductor
Check out Rwender1's Banner ad contest…
We make custom "computer chips" or integrated circuits that help our customers (electrical engineers) reduce the cost and size of their electronic products.
What's your vision?
I would like a 160 x 600 skyscraper banner ad. The ad is going to run on websites that help engineers analyze the components that make up their electronic designs. In the electronics community the list of components is referred to as a "Bill of Materials" and people in the industry use the acronym 'BOM'. All of the electronic components in a design, the BOM, are placed onto printed circuit boards, PCB for short. Electronic products consist of a BOM of parts placed on to an electronics board called a PCB. We are wanting to draw attention to the fact that a BIG BOM equates to a BIG and EXPENSIVE PCB or electronics board. I would like an ad that is a play on the "Does this dress make me look fat?" phrase. In our ad, the engineer is asking "Does this BOM make my PCB look fat?" The ad could be an engineer holding a board out in front of him with the board make to look large with a fisheye effect or something similar. Or, the ad could be the engineer asking the same question while looking over their shoulder and the PCB being textured on to a large butt. Working down the ad provide the factual information: Your BOM could be losing your company $1,000,000+ a year. Lower down the ad have a call to action button with the text: Analyze My BOM At the very bottom of the ad have: Triad Semiconductor in small font
